Digging on IJburg
for Amsterdam Academy of Architecture and ArtEZ Academy of Architecture Arnhem

2006, Floortje/Fluitsma, in collaboration with Remco Oude Alink
Book for annual collaboration project, each year in a different place and with a different material. This year it was an empty island full of sand. Important became the loss of scale, this is why each project is presented on three scales.

Stacking laths
for Amsterdam Academy of Architecture and ArtEZ Academy of Architecture Arnhem

2007, Floortje/Fluitsma
The project was about developing a stacking method for 1200 laths without using any joining materials. The repeating, stacking and making rhythms with the same object is translated in the design for the book.

Dijkhuizenatlas
for M3H Architects

2007 (ongoing), Floortje/Fluitsma
An Archive-like book that can be self-printed and grow. The differences between the several studies and projects M3H did on riverlandscapes and dike-houses are used for the design. Every type of 'media' in the book (for instance; graphics, maps, newspaperclippings) has it's own kind of paper.

Picnic Printed
for Boomerang Media, during Picnic Festival

2008, Floortje/Fluitsma
Daily newspaper made on the spot for a festival about new media, technology, art and science. The design of the newspaper emphasizes the rarity and use of old media (printing) at a new media event.

City Vibes
for Amsterdam Tourism & Convention Board

2009, production by Boomerang Publishing, in Dutch, English, French and German
City guide of Amsterdam with 100 nice adresses spread across seven parts of town, interviews with locals and stories about the history of the city. The content needed a flexible design, that is why the grid is ispired by an equalizer. The blocks can shrink and grow.
